In 2022, the University of Padova will celebrate its 800th anniversary, a milestone that very few of the world’s universities can boast.
To celebrate this important anniversary, the University has chosen to carry out projects to pass on to future generations. These projects are inspired by its core values of liberty of research and openness toward the world.
The celebratory process has already begun: during these years that precede 2022, the university is working on several goals that will lead to permanent structural repercussions. Initiatives and events will enhance the cultural, historical and scientific heritage of the university, focusing the attention on several fundamental points: renovation works on the university museums, historical research and the creation, through this anniversary, of an increasingly united community.
One of the most important aspects will be to devote a particular attention to the environmental sustainability and in particular to sustainable food systems focusing on the health threatening complications linked with diet-related diseases as obesity and other diet-related non-communicable diseases.
